Overview

Having completed his apprenticeship as a draughtsman, Colin decided he wanted to follow a more creative path. Thus he spent the next three years studying Architectural and Technical Illustration at art college in London.

​

After a career spanning some twenty years working in studios and agencies in and around London, Colin has settled in Marlborough, Wiltshire.

 

Artists impressions

Working with architects, designers, property developers and publishers Colin produces accurate and detailed artists impressions for planning applications and marketing material.

 

Watercolour paintings and prints

Teaching

Colin has, over the years built a reputation of bringing out the best in all his students, beginners or experienced. His classes are fun and very informative. He teaches at Marlborough College Summer School and holds regular one day workshops in central Marlborough..

Commissions - House Portraits

People often want a personalised record of their home; perhaps the church they were married in or a building with significant sentimental value. Paintings have a much more intimate relationship with the family and the house than photographs.

Colin will work with you to ensure your memories are perfectly preserved – He can portray your home in summer even if you commission him in November... and of course he'll leave out the lamp posts and telegraph poles if you want him to.

Married to Pauline, ai retired school teacher, they have three grown up sons with two grandsons and one granddaughter.
